Full Description
In 1994 Oxford Archaeological Unit conducted fieldwalking over the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. A single end and side scraper with invasion retouch was recovered from Tutt Hill, these types of lithics date to the Neolithic and Early Bronze Age. Exact dating cannot be applied since the assemblage size was too small to be able to. A backed knife was also recovered and is again of a similar date but may be more suggestive of the later Neolithic and early Bronze Age. A spread of 23 flint flakes were recovered also along with a slight scatter of brunt flints. (1)
