Full Description
In 1994 Oxford Archaeological Unit conducted fieldwalking over the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. A small scatter of struck and burnt flint was observed west of Horish Wood. No diagnostic retouched forms were recovered to aid the dating of this assemblage. Flakes and blade with soft-hammer characteristics were recovered, perhaps suggesting an early element to the flintwork. (1)
