Full Description
In 1994 Oxford Archaeological Unit conducted fieldwalking over the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. A small but relatiely compact scatter of struck flint scatter and burnt unworked flint scatter too. Soft-hammer struck flakes and a core rejuvination flakes were also discovered. The flintwork appear to be a product of controlled flint knapping possibly of Neolithic date, the date is entirely in keeping with the scatters probable association with the Neolithic megalithic monuments in the area.
