Full Description

Two curvilinear features, forming a possible enclosure, visible as cropmarks in the 2007 Google Earth image, to the south of Westbrook. Consists of two cuvilinear linears enlosing an area of c.50m square, with openings at both ends. A square feature and two pit features are present within its confines. Located within a (? WWI) enclosure. (1)

An incomplete sub-rectangular enclosure 36m across, possibly of later prehistoric date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs - NMR 4136/10 18-JUL-1988 and 2007 Google Earth image, to the south of Westbrook. This site lies within the extensive remains of a WWII defended area of trenches and gun emplacements which are also visible as cropmarks. This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. (2)
