Full Description

In 1925, during the erection of two cottages at the City Hospital Farm (Stone Lodge Farm Cottages) a bronze socketed celt with two loops and a ring of metal, not identified, were found. (1) Position of Stone Lodge Farm Cottages indicated to me by S. Priest, Curator, Dartford Borough Museum and later confirmed on the ground, - situated at TQ 5657 7408. Axe-head now in Guildhall Museum, London. (2) Find spot surveyed on 25" A.M (3). Checked and correct (4). Additional references (5-7).
