Full Description

In 1995 an excavation was carried out by Wessex Archaeology along a pipeline between Deal and Ramsgate, at Sandwich Bay. A feature with vertical sides, a flat bottom and sub-rectangular in plan was found. A large amount of pot was found within the feature and was dated to c. 25/75 AD and appeared to be two Belgic vessels. Flint flakes and bone and shell were all also found. (1)
