Full Description

In 1995 a meatl detecting survey was undertaken by Wessex Archaeology prior to work on a pipeline. Two spoons were found at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Course, deal. One was silver and had a decorated bowl and a drop where the handle was afixed to the bowl Drops were first intoroduced around 1715. However the Hallmark on this spoon is incomplete so dating in not achieveable. The other spoon was copper alloy. (1)
