Full Description

In 1995 some supplementary field walking was carried out by Wessex Archaeology along the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. A low density spread of 70 sherds concerntrated to the west of the field were noticed during field walking. A majority were early Medieval sandy type diagonstic to late 12th to mid/late 13th century. Later 14th to 15th century splash glazed jug sherds were also recovered. (1)
