Full Description

In 1995 some supplementary field walking was carried out by Wessex Archaeology along the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. There was a good scatter of both struck and burnt unworked flints. Most is hard-hammer flaking, mis-hits and many of thef lakes and scrapers are undistinct. Soft-hammer flakes, blade like flakes or fragments, cores and retouched pieces were all present. The collection as a whole were thought to be of Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, and other similarly dated finds have been discovered nearby at Ebbsfleet. (1)
