Full Description

In 1995 some supplementary field walking was carried out by Wessex Archaeology along the route of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Several small scatters of struck flint were recorded, possibly reflecting periods of activity. A polished axe was found, but was too small to allow further comment. A worked flint knife was also found, thought to be either Neolithic or Bronze Age in date. (1)
