Full Description
In 2010 an excavation and associated metal detecting survey were carried out by Portable Antiquities staff and local volunteers. The two trenches dug investigated a linear feature known from geophysical survey results. It was a shallow gully with Early Medieval and medieval pottery within it. It is likely that it relates to a 12th century site found during earlier works within the same field. (1)
