Full Description
TR 309674. Located to the nearest fifty metres. Medieval settlement discovered in 1982. Site no. 111. (1) TR 309674. Remains of an AS settlement were discovered in 1981 duringdutting of footing trenches for a house. The remains included Sankin floored huts, post holes, and midden pits. Grass-tempered pot sherds were noted. Also found as a scatter were Romano-British pot sherds and tegulae in such numbers as to indicate a nearby villa site. (2)
