Full Description

In 1996 Canterbury Archaeological Trust conducted an evaluation on the land adjoining Faversham Road/Ladysmith Grove. Two sherds of Roman pottery were found from this evaluation. Also a single abraded sherd of coarse flint tempered late prehistoric, Iron Age pottery was also recovered. A Roman tile was also found at the site. This does not indicate a settlement at this site but is indicative of a site nearby. (1)
