Full Description
In 1997 a watching brief carried out by Archaeology South-East on topsoil stripping for gravel extraction at Lydd 7, Lydd Quarry found 87 pieces of struck flint. The flints included 69 waste flakes, two scrapers, three retouched pieces, 10 cores and hammer stones. It is thought that the industry is of possible Bronze Age character. No features of the same date were found. (1)
