Full Description
In 2003 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out a watching brief on the new ambulance station site on Haine Road, Ramsgate. No archaeological features were observed cutting the Brickearth exposed by topsoil stripping but a number of finds were collected from this surface. These finds included worked flints and are likely to have been moved to the area in colluvium from neighbouring sites. Some pottery was also found, including possible Late Iron Age sherds, early Roman sherds and medieval sherds. (1)
