Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs. (1)
This area was subject to Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project in 2024 – a detailed survey using aerial photographs and lidar. However, at the time of this survey the aerial photographic collection held by Cambridge University (CUCAP) was closed and inaccessible. This ring ditch was mapped form aerial photographs as part of the RCHME Kent NMP project undertaken in the late 1990s using photographs unavailable to the later survey. (2)
