Full Description
In 2001 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an excavation on Shelford Farm Estate. The earliest archaeological evidence found consisted of residual worked flints from later features. The earliest of these was a fragment of a Mesolithic tranchet axe sharpening flake. There was a greater volume of Neolithic and Early Bronze Age flint implements and flakes. (1)
