Full Description
Sittingbourne Magistrates’ Court was built in 1856 in Park Road, Sittingbourne, Kent and was designed by an architect unknown at the time of this record’s construction.
The exterior of the building consists of one and two storeys and is made up of brick and features a pitched roof covered in slate. The main front of the building consists of two, two storey, two bay structures which are connected at the rear by a two storey rectangular range.
The interior of the building features an enquiries desk and a public waiting area in the main public entrance. There are two courtrooms; Court One is located in the building behind the main front and Court Two is located on the first floor of the block behind. The floor area of the building covers 186.65sq/m (612.38sq/ft).
