Cropmarks of a the western end of a large rectilinear (trapezoidal) ditched enclosure of uncertain date (possibly Iron Age, Roman or medieval) visisble in the field to the west of Allen Avenue on aerial photographs -NMR 962/57 09-JUL-1976 which pre-date the housing development. A further short fragment of the NW side of the enclosure was identified as a cropmark, but it and the rest of the (undetected) part of the enclosure now lies beneath the housing). This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024 (4).
