Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs. (1)
Cropmarks of a possible Roman or medieval settlement visble as rectilinear enclosures and pits which have been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project, 2024. Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015, HEA 29750/51 29-JUN-2015, NMR 4176/8 01-AUG-1988 and EARTH.GOOGLE.COM MAR-2022. ACCESSED 29-FEB-2024. The core of the complex is marked by the cropmarks of numerous extractive pits which probably post-date the settlment (2-5).
