Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs.

Consists of a rectangular enclosure, c.50m x 80m, with a smaller enclosure and other linears to the north (1).

Cropmarks of possible medieval settlement enclosures in fields near Margate mapped from aerial photographs mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. The site comprises a rectangular ditched enclosure 58m x 36m which is cut E-W by the course of the Shottendane Road. A large depression or excavated area occupies and cuts into the northern side of the enclosure. Attahed to its northern side are fragments of further rectilinear enclosure of varying size. This site appears to be linked to further enclosures to the north (TR 36 NW 111) and possibly associated with an extensive field system (MKE124774).
