Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs. (1)

Retilinear enclosures and fragmented later prehistoric or Roman field systemvisible as cropmarks on aerial photographs -CUCAP WT79 26-JUN-1958. These features lie within the complex cropmark remains of a WW2 defended area of trenches and gun emplacements. This was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.
