A linear group of rectilinear medieval settlement enclosures and pits visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs:Next Perspectives APGB Imagery, EARTH.GOOGLE.COM MAY-2007 ACCESSED 08-NOV-2023 and HEA_29748_010 29-JUN-2015. These were mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. The enclosures are fragmented, but can be traced extening 240m along the SE side of along the Manston Road. Further enclosure fragments have been recorded on the west side of the road in an earlier survey - RCHME Kent NMP which had access to photographs unavailable for this most recent survey (2-6).

The enclosure is identified in NRHE data as an Iron Age or Roman settlement enclosure located adjacent to the present road which are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. However, this interpretation has since been updated during the 2024 Historic England Isle of Thanet project. (7)
