Monument record TR 36 NW 164 - Goal post enclosure, Acol hill

Summary

The cropmark of a staple, or goal post enclosure has been identified in fields on Acol Hill. This site was recorded from aerial photographs taken by the Royal Commission on the Historic Monuments of England as part of a project to identify and classify cropmarks across Kent. It is possible that this enclosure may be associated with a complete rectilinear enclosure previously identified 150m to the east.
