Monument record TR 36 NW 184 - Romano-British surface and associated finds, near the A253, Minster

Summary

Romano-British and late Iron Age (Belgic) finds were discovered during the construction of a gas pipeline in 1984. A large patch about 7m across consisting of a layer of large closely-packed flints was uncovered. Also found on top of and between this layer were small pieces of iron slag, and a quantity of late Iron Age (Belgic) and Romano British pottery.
