Findspot record TR 36 NW 193 - Bronze blade and fragments, near A253, Minster
Summary
A piece of a bronze mid-ribbed blade was found in upcast soil during the construction of a gas pipeline in 1984. This blade was reportedly found in association with 15 other unidentified bronze fragments. It is therefore thought that a a bronze hoard may have been previously located in the area, and was disturbed by ploughing. The precise location of the original burial of this artefact is uncertain due to its discovery in upcast soils. It is not known where the artefacts are now held.
