Cropmarks of enclosures and ring ditches were previously identified in fields on both sides of Margate Hill, to the north east of Acol. These features were recorded from aerial photographs and reported in the Isle of Thanet Sites and Monuments Archive. The exact location of these cropmarks is uncertain and no further information was available.
