Findspot record TR 36 NW 212 - Romano-British pottery, Cleve Court, Monkton

Summary

A scatter of Romano-British pottery was found during work on a water main in 1987 near Cleve Court. The pottery sherds were not actually found in the pipe trench itself and it is thought that the material may have arrived by downhill drift from a site on Telegraph Hill nearby. The precise location of this findspot is thought to be on the footpath between Cleve Court and Plumstone Farm. The precise date of these pottery sherds is uncertain and it is not known where they are now located.
