['A' TR 37156465] Roman Urns etc found [NAT] ['B' TR 37276464] Roman Pottery etc found [NAT] (1) [A] Roman cinerary urns, one with burnt bones and one with a bronze fibula, other Roman pottery and two more bronze fibulae, were found where Mr Southee's West Cliff School, St Mildred's Road, Ramsgate, now stands (3,a). The West Cliff School is situated at TR 3716 6460; two small 1st C RB pots and a 2nd C Upchurch patera from the site are on exhibition in Ramsgate Public Library. ?[B] These latter sites were not identified in the field and the present whereabouts of the finds was not ascertained. (2,3) George Payne's records (b) locate the site of a Roman grave to the N side of Norman Road, close to where it joins Queen Bertha Road - TR 37056464. (4) additional reference (5-7)
