Full Description
Two human skeletons, in a basin shaped grave dug out of chalk, were found "a few years since" in excavating for the foundations of a house at Western Cliff, Ramsgate. On either side of, and a few feet from, the grave, Roman urns, some containing burnt bones, a bronze fibula and a patera were also found. The burials appear to be later than the urns. (1)
