Full Description

[Centred TR 35876456] Cropmarks (sub-circular enclosure). (1) Area under the plough - nothing visible. The dark crop mark to the immediate E is a bomb crater. (2) TR 35876456. Curvelinear enclosure with entrance on E side is 50m by 48m with a 7m gap and ovate feature opposite entrance approximately 4m across. The date of the enclosure is unknown but likely to be late prehistoric, possibly Iron Age. (3) To the west of the enclosure at TR 3582 6463, are several large, negative features. These are similar in appearance to the possible bomb crater and may be of similar origin.

More recent survey by the RCHME (1997) suggests that the 'bomb crater' is after all an archaeological feature. (5)
