[TR 3727 6464] Roman pottery etc found [NAT] (1) About 30 yards from the school, where Roman cinerary urns were found [TR 36 SE 2], across the road where Mr Johnstone's house 'High View' stands on St Mildred's Road, a Samian patera and two urns of brown ware were found. Close by a rubbish pit with many animal bones was found and a little further towards the E, a small urn of light brown colour, a Samian patera and a fibula. Many Roman remains discovered atSt Mildred's Road. (3,3a) These latter sites were not identified in the field and the present whereabouts of the finds was not ascertained.
