Full Description

An assortment of early medieval finds have been recovered from the hill during metal detecting. These have included fragments of a gilded silver garnet-inlaid Kentish disc brooch (found in 1987) and pieces of brooches (found between 1993 and 2002 by the White Cliffs Metal Detecting Club). In 2005 a Time Team excavation found part of an Anglo-Saxon glass cone beaker redeposited in a medieval windmill foundation trench. (1)
