Full Description
In 2008 an evaluation by the Trust for Thanet Archaeology found a Roman midden pit or pit backfilled with midden material. Material from this deposit included relatively high quantities of charred grain and charcoal, suggesting possible grain processing in the immediate area. Also found within this deposit were a spear head, part of a shale bracelet and what may be part of a sword blade. (1)
