In 2006 Wessex Archaeology carried out an excavation. Two parallel Bronze Age ditches 5m apart were found and are likely to be part of a field system or boundary. Flint-tempered pottery was found in some of the features, probably of late Bronze Age date. Bronze Age pottery was also found in hillwash at the site. (2)
