Full Description
In 2004 an excavation by Wessex Archaeology found a ditch system probably relating to a Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age field system. A series of three ditches (group 6376, located in the south east corner of the Site) are thought to be the remains of a Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age field system. It is possible that they represent the northern extent of the field system identified during the Phase 1 investigations.(1)
