Full Description
In 1998 Museum of London Archaeology Service carried out an excavation as part of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project. A large burnt area with many brick fragments and wasters, some vitrified from clamp firing. The bricks were broadly dated to 1450-1700 but could be Tudor or Stuart. The clamp may have been used to fire bricks for the construction of Hazells Farmhouse. (1-3)
