Full Description

In 2006 Archaeology South-East carried out an evaluation and an excavation. The base of a Late Bronze Age vessel was found in situ. The vessel had been truncated, probably by later ploughing, and lay in a shallow deposit that may have been a marshy area, or a plough soil. A large post hole was found nearby and this may have held a marker for the vessel. Further Late Bronze Age pottery was recovered from later features on the site. (1)
