Full Description

St Martin's Cottage at Yaldham Manor was initially a timber framed agricultural building. It was divided into three bays and was one and a half storeys high. It may have been used for animals with a hayloft above. It is of unusual construction with no clear parallels. It was probably built in the late 17th or early 18th century. It was extended in the 18th or early 19th century, whilst still in agricultural use. It was probably converted to domestic use in the mid to late 19th century. (1)
