Full Description
Cropmarks of a field system with ridge and furrow marks, and a circular enclosure, west of Newington, visible in the 2008 aerial photos.
Field system visible in aerial photos of 2008, with ridge and furrow marks shown on the NMP layer. Consists of a large field 170m x 145m, with several narrower fields projecting to the south. There is further ridge and furrow to the south, west, and north-west. Presumably medieval (though some ditches are a modern field shown in the 1990s aerial photo). The NMP layer also shows a circular enclosure, c.30m in diameter, within a rectangular enclosure, c.45m x c.40m, located to the west of the larger field.
