Full Description

In 2009 Pre-Construct Archaeology carried out an evaluation and an excavation. A number of features found during the evaluation were found to actually be water channels formed by spring water flowing down the hill. Small abraded sherds of 11th and 12th century date were found within the water channels and probably originally came from further up the slope. (1)
