Full Description
A flint axe in the collection of Capt. C.F. Newington of Sandling Farm, Saltwood, Hythe, Kent, was found in Ash parish about a mile fromRichborough Castle (TR 36 SW 15). The axe 8.6 inches long was found 18inches below the surface in making a land drain. (1,2)
