Full Description
A corn windmill is shown on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map of c.1861. The site is located in close association with Woodchurch corn windmill, just a matter of metres to the south, which remains standing today. Woodchurch windmill is a white smock mill that was built in c.1820 and has been restored to working order. One of a pair of mills known as "the twins" which were both brought from other sites. The upper mill dated from the early 18th century and was moved from Place Lane. It ceased working in 1910 and was later demolished. (1)
