Full Description
Charing railway station is depcited for the first time on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map of c.1891. indicating a date for its construction between this date and the production of the 1st edition map in c.1861.

Station on the Maidstone-Ashford branch line, opened in 1884.
Historic England archive material: BF006324 CHARING STATION, CHARING
'The gothic station building is constructed of red brick with blue brick, stone and red brick dressings. A timber canopy is located on the northern elevation with white painted valence boards'. The station is well preserved. (1)
