Summary

Dover Priory station originally opened in 1861 as the terminus of the London, Chatham and Dover Railway (LCDR), and was named ‘Dover Town’ station. It later became a through station with the completion of a tunnel though the Western Heights to gain access to the Western Docks area and in 1863 it was re-named ‘Dover Priory’ Station. The station was re-designed in 1930-32. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
