Farmstead record MKE83389 - Wick

Summary

An outfarm with a loose courtyard plan with a building to one side of the yard. A group of post medieval farm buildings named Wick are depicted on the 1864 Ordnance Survey map. They were situated on Well's Marshes, at the south-west corner of the Isle of Grain. By the 1896 edition an additional building and a sheep wash were also depicted. Still in existence in 1908 the site had gone by 1931. This site was identified as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

A group of post medieval farm buildings named Wick are depicted on the 1864 Ordnance Survey map. They were situated on Well's Marshes, at the south-west corner of the Isle of Grain and were centred on TQ 8653 7428. By the 1896 edition an additional building and a sheep wash were also depicted. Still in existence in 1908 the site had gone by 1931. This site was identified as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(3-6)
