Summary

The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheep fold and sheep wash recorded on historic OS maps of second and third epoch (1896-1908). It is no longer depicted on the fourth epoch OS map of 1939. The map sources depict at least one enclosed building within an area enclosed on three sides by drainage ditches within the low-lying marsh.

The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheep fold and sheep wash recorded on historic OS maps of second and third epoch (1896-1908) at approximately TQ 7188 7729. It is no longer depicted on the fourth epoch OS map of 1939. The map sources depict at least one enclosed building within an area enclosed on three sides by drainage ditches within the low-lying marsh. This area of mash has now been destroyed through clay quarrying for the local cement industry. (3-4)
