A post medieval sheepfold is depicted on the 1894 Ordnance Survey map on marshland near the coast east of Cliffe Fleet, centred on TQ 7515 7873. This sheepfold was within a small field defined by drainage ditches and a fence or wall on the northern side. Although still visible on aerial photographs taken in 1970 the building has since been demolished. This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (3-4)
