A post medieval sheepfold and an adjacent building are depicted on the 1894 Ordnance Survey map in Halstow Marshes. This sheepfold was within a small field defined by drainage ditches. By 1897 a fence had been constructed attached to the sheepfold which created an enclosure at the northern end of this field. The buildings have since been demolished and only foundations are visible in 2007, the drainage ditches have been levelled. It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
