Full Description
A Neolithic polished axe was found, c.1936, at Horns Cross Gravel Pit (opposite 'The Welcome All' P.H.), and presented to the museum by Mr. J.H. Warr, of The Old Rectory, Greenhithe. (1) Mr. Warr has left the district and could not be traced. The gravel pit, centred at TQ 5715 7443, is disused (2). Site and its finds were also referred to in a field report (3).
